How to Prepare for Concrete Cutting
A provider can plan more effectively when the outcome, cut path and work environment are visible before attendance.

Step 01
1. Mark and measure the work
Mark the proposed cut, core centre or removal boundary with the responsible trade or designer. Record length, width, diameter and depth in millimetres where practical.
Take one wide photo showing surroundings and one close photo showing the mark and scale.
Step 02
2. Show the complete access route
Photograph the path from parking or loading to the work face. Include gates, doorways, stairs, lifts, low clearances, gradients and areas where a cut section must pass.
State any weight, noise, work-hour, induction or public-access limits.
Step 03
3. Check services and structural requirements
Gather drawings and service information. Consider scanning or service locating where hidden features could be affected. Obtain engineering or owner approval for structural openings and removals.
Step 04
4. Define controls and handover
Explain whether wet cutting is allowed, where water can be captured, what dust standard applies, which areas remain occupied and how waste can leave the site.
Separate cutting, breaking, lifting, disposal, edge finishing, excavation and reinstatement in the scope.
Step 05
5. Send the useful set to Jackie
Combine the photos, dimensions, purpose, access and constraints in the Jackie chat. Jackie gathers the key details, then we connect your enquiry with a vetted local concrete cutting provider who can follow up with you directly. No separate form or multi-provider broadcast is used.
Preparation questions
Preparation questions
Do I need professional drawings for every cut?
Not every minor task has a formal drawing, but structural or service-related work may require one. At minimum, the intended location and dimensions should come from the responsible party.
Why show the parking and access route?
Equipment, water capture, extraction and removed concrete must move through the site. Access can determine feasibility and setup.
What if I cannot confirm the concrete depth?
State that it is unknown and share any visible edge, drawings or scan information. The provider can identify what must be checked next.
